SEVEN SQUARES
The game is played on a 8x8 board. Each move consists of dragging the squares to create groups – i.e. squares connected diagonally or horizontally. Once connected you can only move a group of squares together. Every turn at least three additional squares appear – either Red, Orange or Yellow. You lose the game once the whole board is filled.
If you create a group of seven squares, it will disappear – you will get points, you will free up some space on the board and, most importantly, you will get a square of more advanced color. Red, Orange and Yellow squares turn into Green ones. Green turn to Blue. Blue to Indigo. Indigo to Violet. Merging those ones will give you even more points!
However, you have one very important decision to make – you can create a group of seven squares to get one of more advanced squares. But… if you create a group of 8 squares (e.g. by connecting a group of 5 and 3 squares) you will get 2 more advanced squares. 9 squares will give you 3 and so on. Getting more of the advanced squares in one go will make it easier for you to create a group of 7 of those squares which will give you even more points! Push your luck – should you try to create a bigger group to get more of the advanced squares or play it safe and create smaller groups to free up space?
